I was just looking at one of my favorite blogs - Shoedaydreams She posted this really lovely YSL peep-toe sling back. Tres belle, n'est pas? I like the contrasting heal, the sweet shape to the peep toe and the height of the heal - not towering but looks higher than the standard 2" work-type shoe.
This would look equally terrific with a flouncy skirt as with a more tailored suit or sexy-secretary look. Somebody, please buy this shoe!
Oh dear. That's not a towering heel? Ms. Dawn, what do you love for a work shoe for us sensible-shoe types?

Oh, my dear CrankyCakes, there are so many cute shoe options for those who are ever practical and tender of foot. And I'm v. sure you manage this quite well - being as cool as you are! You know what I love? Those adorable sneaker flats that Danform/Merrell/Timberland/Others put out. Lots of colors, and many have a little strap to make them look like MaryJanes, and they provide more support than a flat. I'm not a big fan of the Birk - unless that is the style you have embraced and you work it consistently - or you have bad feet and you need them to survive. Go to The Shoe Shop/Stella/Danform.
